Squirrels

Hope you’re enjoying these comic things. I seem to be making them longer and longer as the weeks go by.

Also, quick tip for those of you doing comics out there: do thumbnails (preliminary drawings) of your characters and layouts first. It sounds like extra work, but it isn’t. When I skip doing thumbnails, I still end up drawing the characters half a dozen times.

In other news, if you haven’t changed your bookmarks yet, you should. The new site is over here.

The Old West

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Anyone pull off any good pranks for April Fools’ Day? I’m disappointed to say I completely forgot to plan anything elaborate. So I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through your stories.

New post with birds. Now tune in for a special announcement:

About a year ago, I started this site. It’s been an absolutely lovely year here at wordpress. However, it’s time we relocate to someplace a little bit bigger. So, we’ll be moving to our new site, jbabbcomics.com.

I’ll still keep updating this site through June, to make the transition as easy as possible. Come on over to the new site when you get the chance, and let us know what you think.

Sweet cuppity cakes

This week’s surreal post comes to you courtesy of too much candy. I sat down last week with a blank page, determined to draw one panel at a time, without any real plan of what was going to happen. This was the result. Enjoy.

St. Patrick’s Day

Hope everyone’s weekend went well. I tried adding a bit of color to this week’s comic, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. That’s right: I’m festive, even though I’m not Irish, and I actually like snakes.

I’ve been on a bit of a comic reading streak lately. If you’re looking for a really good read, I highly recommend Daytripper by Gabriel Ba & Fabio Moon. It’s really a touching story. There’s a reason it’s at the top of the New York Times’ best seller list.

This week is another exploration into strange new ways I can cover my hands in ink. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.
